Our Backstory
The Dynamic Centre for Education was founded by Isabel Misquitta-Yip on June 29th, 2021.
At the Dynamic Centre for Education, we aim to provide educational opportunities in the arts to youth and children. We strive to create positive learning environments and help our students grow, despite personal setbacks, insufficient resources, and socioeconomic barriers. These youth are otherwise neglected in the art world and our goal is to allow them to have access to all of the great things that the arts offer, and hopefully motivate them to continue to carry on the arts in their own communities.
Since 2021, we have organized virtual music summer camps for students in the Greater Toronto Area and Cambodia. Students learn to play instruments such as the piano and, since 2023, the violin. Additionally, they are taught music theory to enhance their musical knowledge and apply this as they learn their music on their instruments.

In 2024, we created a little series called The Stories We Keep in support of celebrating the music of women and queer composers. In 2025, we are continuing the series where we offer free lessons to the community through not only music, but also through visual and fiber arts, whether you're looking to explore the arts or connect with others.

Our Mission
To provide equitable access to creative arts education, including but not limited to music, visual arts, and textile arts, for individuals of all ages from underserved communities who have been historically excluded from formal arts spaces due to systemic barriers such as poverty, cultural erasure, ageism, and displacement.
Our Vision
To build a thriving, inclusive artistic community where individuals of all backgrounds have regular access to resources, learning, and opportunities to showcase their work, leading to personal growth, community empowerment, and shared cultural expression.
