Meet Our Dynamic Team
Our youth-led team is made up of motivated and driven individuals, coming from various cultures and backgrounds, who all aim to create a safe space for marginalized youth in their community!

Isabel Misquitta-Yip
Co-Founder & Executive Director
A lifelong artist and passionate educator, Isabel founded the Dynamic Centre for Education in the summer of 2021. Having seen and experienced first hand the value of arts education, and how much financial, environmental, and personal setbacks can impact the quality of education, Isabel understood how the education system disproportionately served certain communities and demographics over others. She decided that it needed to change. She also realized that real systemic impact begins on the ground level, and all it takes to start is just one person.
Today, the Dynamic Centre for Education has grown to a passionate team of over 10 people, working within underserved communities both on-site and virtually. What began with one junior summer pandemic music program over Zoom has blossomed into music, visual, and the fiber arts, with more on the way for students of all ages, ethnicities, cultures, financial, and social backgrounds. Dynamic continues to serve locally in Canadian neighbourhoods, and internationally as far as Cambodia and the Philippines, having raised and been supported by thousands of dollars.
A professional musician and teacher herself, Isabel is currently completing her Bachelor of Education at York University, after earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance. Isabel hopes to inspire people to view their own lives and the stories they've lived as works of art themselves.

Laurie Ta
Program & Administrative Director
Laurie is a York University music graduate, combining her deep passion for music with a solid foundation in music theory and performance. She began learning piano at a young age and, in high school, added the flute to her repertoire, further developing her musical knowledge. Now in her final year at York University, Laurie is specializing in both performance and music theory, preparing for a career that bridges education and the arts.

Since 2022, Laurie has volunteered as one of the music teachers at the Dynamic Centre of Education, where she has gained hands-on experience in teaching music to students of all levels. Her leadership skills were recognized in 2023 when she became the Program Director, overseeing the development and coordination of educational programs. Outside of her academic and professional life, Laurie enjoys reading during her commutes and finds inspiration in long walks outdoors, which allow her to recharge creatively. With a passion for both music and education, Laurie is excited to continue her journey teaching many more students at Dynamic.
